A history book collector’s dream come true
I have been collecting military history books since I was 16 years old. My father was a second lieutenant in the Mighty Eighth, during WW2. He was a bombardier on a B-17, stationed in East Anglia, UK. It was there that he met my mother. I suspect that my interest in all military things was an attempt to get to know my father better.
Throughout the 1960's, 70's, 80's and beyond, I spent my spare time scrounging through small dingy bookstores in New York City, and finding fascinating stories of battles, heroes, victories, and defeats. During those years, you could find whatever you were looking for on any topic under the sun. Sadly, most of those havens of knowledge have disappeared. There are however, a few remaining and I still haunt their dusty alcoves to find my treasures.
