This book is the fabulous story of the HMS Wager, a ship that was wrecked at Tierra Del Fuego after failing to survive the arduous trip around Cape Horn. Barely had the survivors scrambled ashore before trouble began, as there were two factions trying do decide what to do. Both were dangerous and only nine of the three hundred managed to reach England after adventures and privations tested the lin=mits of human endurance.
